Whether you are new to the Fort Collins area or simply looking for a new dental home, our team takes the time to get to know you and build a strong foundation for your long term oral health and a beautiful smile.
We use advanced dental technology including:
- Digital scanners
- Dental laser technology
- CAD CAM CEREC same day restorations
- 3D dental imaging including CBCT and digital X rays
- Pearl AI software that helps detect cavities, bone loss, abscesses, and other oral conditions on digital X rays
These technologies allow us to deliver precise diagnoses and often provide same day treatment options.
Most dental emergencies can usually be seen within 48 hours, depending on the situation.
New patients are typically able to schedule an appointment within two weeks.
Please bring a photo ID, dental insurance information (if applicable), a list of medications you are taking, and any completed patient forms.
Yes. We work with most insurance carriers that offer PPO plans, as well as Medicare plans that include PPO riders.
If you are unsure whether your insurance is accepted, simply give our office a call and our team will be happy to check your coverage for you.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact our office at least 48 business hours in advance (Monday through Thursday).
Appointments canceled with less than 48 business hours notice will result in a $75 late cancellation fee.
New patients are typically scheduled with enough time for a healthy mouth cleaning. However, this does not guarantee that a cleaning will occur during your first visit.
During your appointment we first complete a comprehensive exam and diagnosis to determine your oral health needs.
Many dental insurance plans only cover basic preventive services. Our priority as a healthcare provider is to make accurate diagnoses and provide the best possible care, not simply follow insurance limitations.
We provide a wide range of dental services in Fort Collins including:
- Preventive dental care
- Dental fillings
- Emergency dental care
- Pediatric dentistry
- Oral surgery
- Cosmetic dentistry
- Restorative dentistry
Our goal is to help you maintain a healthy and confident smile at every stage of life.
Every patient is different. Your cleaning schedule depends on factors such as:
- Your gum health
- Bone levels
- Oral health history
Many patients visit every six months, while others may need more frequent visits depending on their needs.
Invisalign is a modern approach to straightening teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners instead of traditional brackets and wires. These aligners gradually move your teeth into their ideal positions while remaining discreet and comfortable.
At Holmes Dental, we offer several treatment options that can enhance your smile, including:
- Zoom in office teeth whitening for brighter teeth in one visit
- Clear aligners to reposition teeth
- Porcelain veneers to change tooth shape and color
- Dental implants
- CEREC same day crowns and onlays
- Tooth colored fillings
- Botulinum toxin treatments (Botox and Xeomin)
- PRF facial skin treatments
- Laser treatments using Fotona Lightwalker technology
Our doctors can help design a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve the smile you want.
Dental implants consist of two main parts:
- An implant post, which replaces the missing tooth root
- A dental restoration, typically a crown, placed on top of the implant
The implant integrates with the jawbone to create a strong and permanent foundation for your new tooth.
Dental implants offer several long term benefits:
- They fuse with the jawbone for strong support
- They can last many years or even a lifetime
- They feel and function like natural teeth
- They do not slip like dentures
- They allow you to eat comfortably without food getting trapped
If you are interested in dental implants, we offer a free 30 minute consultation to determine if you are a good candidate.
Whitening results vary depending on your diet and habits.
If you frequently consume foods and drinks that stain teeth, such as coffee or wine, whitening results may begin to fade within a month.
If you avoid staining foods and maintain good oral care, your results may last a year or longer before needing a touch up.

Night guards, also known as custom splints, help protect your teeth and jaw from clenching and grinding, which often occurs during sleep or periods of stress.
Grinding can lead to:
- Tooth wear
- Tooth pain
- Headaches
- Jaw muscle discomfort
- TMJ problems
- Cracked or broken teeth
Night guards also help protect existing dental work, such as crowns or restorations, helping you protect the investment you have made in your oral health.
Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a natural healing treatment created from your own blood.
During this process:
- A small sample of your blood is taken by our in house phlebotomist.
- The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate platelets and healing cells.
- These growth factors are concentrated into a healing solution.
- The PRF is placed at the surgical site.
PRF can be used alone or combined with bone graft material to promote faster healing and more predictable bone growth after procedures such as tooth extractions or implant placement.
Because it uses your own blood, PRF reduces the risk of infection, allergic reactions, and complications while helping the body heal naturally.
