Dental Insurance and Benefits.

As you know, the world of dental insurance can be confusing. The good news is that Holmes Dental, PC has knowledgeable team members who will do everything possible to help you understand and make the most of your dental benefits. We accept all major insurances; however, we are considered a non-contracted provider. This means we are unrestricted in our care and services, giving our patients the best we can to maintain or improve their oral health without a third-party company dictating what can and cannot be done.  Insurance companies are only in it for profit and try to force patients (and dentists who subscribe to their plans) to do what they want to cover so they don’t have to give back those premiums!  The goal of most dental insurance policies is to provide only basic care for specific dental services, and should really be renamed “dental assistance,” not dental “insurance.”

As a courtesy to our patients, our office will complete and submit your insurance forms to achieve the maximum reimbursement you are entitled to. We will work with your insurance company to help you get what you deserve from your benefits, but please remember that ultimately YOU are responsible for all expenses incurred. We urge you to read and review your dental policy so that you are fully aware of your insurance coverage and to speak to your employer or HR administrator with any questions concerning what is or is not covered.

It’s important to understand that the dental benefits you receive from the insurance company have nothing to do with your individual needs or achieving the best results. Because your dental benefits are negotiated between your employer and the insurance company, many needed services may not be covered or not covered adequately.

At this time, we are not accepting HMO and Medicaid Insurance plans.
