THE MAINTENANCE REQUIRED FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS

If you have recently improved the health and appearance of your smile with a dental implant, we’re so happy for you! Now it’s time to take proper care of your restoration by doing the following things:

· Brush: Make sure you brush your teeth every morning and every night with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Brush for 2 minutes each time and thoroughly scrub each tooth, especially your implant.· Floss: Floss your teeth at least once a day with a flossing product of your choice. While you do so, be gentle as you work around your gums and try to remove as much plaque as possible. Remember to use a clean section of floss as you move from tooth to tooth.· Attend your dental checkups: Your dental checkups are vital if you want a strong and successful oral health. So, make sure you visit your dentist every six months for a dental cleaning and checkup. These appointments will help you prevent tooth decay and gum disease and they will help you have a healthy smile.

If you brush, floss, and attend your dental checkups, you are on the right track toward success! The more you take care of your implant, the longer it will last. If you have any questions or if you would like additional tips on how to care for and clean your dental implant, call 970-221-2499 now and talk to one of our team members at Drs.
